Ethernet Instructions

(Purpose of a Ethernet Cord:
The purpose of a Ethernet cord is a to hook a computer up to a modem enabling the user to connect to the internet.

How to build a Ethernet Cord:
1. Gather materials needed to make the cord which include: Ethernet cord and two jacks
2. Then you cut the Ethernet Cord for the Desired length
3. Then on both ends you are to cut a half inch or so of the wire with a RJ-45 cutter so the end of the ethernet cord will be able to clamp down on the original wire
4. After cutting the wire you are to put the wires into colors from left to right: Light orange, dark orange, light green, dark blue, light blue, dark green, light brown, dark brown
5. Then you are to clip part facing down to put the wires into their slots
6. Make sure the wires are far enough down into their spots to make a connections and the ethernet cord itself should be clamped down to the wire jack.
7. Use the pliers to clamp the RJ-45 onto the wire (which was said in step 6 just making sure to do that to ensure durability of the cord)
8. Repeat to the other side steps 4 through 7

How to test:
You can test the Ethernet Cord simply on your own computer hooking it up to your modem and trying it out.

Personal Statements:
The first time I built a ethernet cord wasn't very hard its all about color coding and making sure things go in the right spots.

Just make sure you can keep the colors in the right spot and there you go you have yourself a new ethernet cord very nice :)
